What is going on with Coronavirus & Portland Real Estate Inventory Episode 5
Today we are looking at the week of April 5th. We saw a small increase in pending home sales.
Accepted contracts increased by 6% from 352 to 375. New listings saw a decrease from 435 homes listed for sale to 385 or a decline of 11%. 16% of the homes listed for sale last week went pending their first week on the market.
As of April 16th, there are currently 2,816 pending home sales and 4,043 active listings in the Portland metro area.
One big thing to note is that when we compare March of 2019 to March of 2020 pending sales decreased by 14%. I don’t know about you but for me, it felt like that number was going to be higher.
